On Friday, January 16, 2026, the Member of Parliament for Suhum Constituency, Hon. Frank Asiedu Bekoe donated a Canon multi-purpose photocopier machine, two desktop computers, and a Lenovo laptop to the Ghana Education Service in the Suhum Municipality.
The donation followed the MP’s consistent engagement with the Suhum GES, which has given him first-hand insight into the operational challenges facing the office. During one of his working visits, it became clear that the office urgently needed modern equipment to improve efficiency and support its day-to-day administrative work.

Hon. Frank Asiedu Bekoe assured the management at the time that he would support them with the needed tools, and true to his word, he has now fulfilled that promise.

Speaking briefly at the presentation ceremony, the MP said he was fully aware of the difficulties confronting the education sector in Suhum. He noted that although he had supported the sector in several ways over the years, the lack of basic office equipment remained a pressing concern.
He stressed that education remains one of his top priorities and reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening all sectors of the constituency, with particular emphasis on education. According to him, improving the working conditions of education offices directly impacts the quality of service delivery across schools in the municipality.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Ghana Education Service, the Suhum Municipal Director of Education, Mrs. Elizabeth Osei Bonsu, expressed her joy and appreciation for the MP’s timely support. She described the donation as a major boost to their work and acknowledged Hon. Frank Asiedu Bekoe as a key contributor to the steady growth of education in Suhum.

While thanking the MP for his continued support, she noted with a smile that, like Oliver Twist, the education service would always hope for more assistance to meet growing demands.
