The Member of Parliament for Suhum, Hon. Frank Asiedu Bekoe, today visited some churches in Akorabo Chuch of Pentecost and Grace Chapel International.
He used his engagement with the churches to highlight important social and public health concerns affecting our communities.
In his message of thanksgiving, the MP drew attention to child protection, streetism, rising malaria cases, HIV/AIDS and the dangers of drug abuse among young people.
He called for stronger collaboration between churches, community leaders and residents to address these challenges through education, advocacy and practical community action.
He also emphasised the importance of communal labour and environmental cleanliness, reminding residents that discarded cans and other containers holding stagnant water can become mosquito breeding grounds.
The message is simple: protecting our children, keeping our environment clean and promoting good health are responsibilities we must all share.
When the Church and the community work together, we can build a healthier, safer and more caring Suhum for everyone.
