Hon. Frank Asiedu Bekoe, Member of Parliament for the Suhum Constituency, on Thursday, 23rd July 2026, joined fellow lawmakers, development partners, and child rights advocates at the launch of the Parliamentary Caucus on Children.
The event, organized by ACEPA and UNICEF, was held at the Accra City Hotel.
The launch marked an important step towards strengthening parliamentary advocacy and oversight on issues affecting the welfare, protection, and development of children across Ghana.
The caucus is expected to champion child-friendly legislation, promote policies that safeguard children’s rights, and work closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive.
A key highlight of the ceremony was the election of Hon. Helen Adjoa Ntoso as the Chairperson of the newly established Parliamentary Caucus on Children. Her appointment was warmly welcomed by members, who expressed confidence in her leadership and commitment to advancing the rights and well-being of children.
Hon. Frank Asiedu Bekoe commended the initiative and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting policies and interventions that protect children and secure a brighter future for the next generation.
He noted that investing in children’s welfare is essential to Ghana’s sustainable development and called for continued collaboration among Parliament, government institutions, civil society organizations, and development partners to promote and protect the rights of every child.
